After a subpar 2023 NFL season, the Chicago Bears look ltike a team on the rise after the offseason they have had so far.
Offensively, the Bears will look drastically different with a new offensive coordinator in Shane Waldron and potentially a new quarterback.
Chicago is expected to trade Justin Fields and take USC’s Caleb Williams first overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, marking a significant change for the offense.
However, the team has been busy giving their 2024 quarterback weapons to work with as they signed D’Andre Swift in free agency and followed it up with a blockbuster trade for Keenan Allen.
Allen refused to restructure his contract in Los Angeles and now finds himself on a young Bears team full of promise.
Allen is set to play on the final year of his deal and revealed that he would be open to a contract extension, via Adam Jahns of The Athletic.
“WR Keenan Allen said he wasn’t expecting a contract extension soon but he was also asked if the Bears are a team he’d want to be with past this season. ‘Absolutely,’ he said. ‘Or we wouldn’t be here right now. Obviously, we’ll get there down the line,’” Jahns reported.
Let me clarify this: WR Keenan Allen said he wasn’t expecting a contract extension soon but he was also asked if the Bears are a team he’d want to be with past this season. “Absolutely,” he said. “Or we wouldn’t be here right now. Obviously, we’ll get there down the line.” https://t.co/wq6PciLuIx

Allen will be turning 32 years old before the start of the season, but is still productive when healthy and on the field.
The former third-round receiver had a strong year with the Los Angeles Chargers where he was Justin Herbert’s No.1 target, and should be a great complement to D.J. Moore.
Allen and Moore make for an exciting tandem and Chicago should be in line for massive improvement.
