Nothing in the sports world fuels trade speculation quite like a well-timed eyeball emoji.
The peace sign emoji, thinking emoji, and hourglass emoji have absolutely nothing on the eyeball emoji, which is the undisputed king of the offseason emoji game and is loaded with subtleties that fans will unquestionably run with.
Kansas City Chiefs cornerback L’Jarius Sneed has been in trade rumors all offseason after signing a $19.8 million franchise tag and added plenty of kerosene to the fire by posting not one, but two eyeball emojis on X this week.

We could’ve let one eyeball emoji slide, but if he’s posting two, something is clearly up.
Kansas City’s asking price in a Sneed trade is reportedly high, which is partly why he hasn’t been moved yet.
In Sneed’s four seasons with the Chiefs, he has posted ten interceptions, 40 pass deflections, and 6.5 sacks on his way to winning two Super Bowls.
He was the No. 1 corner on one of the league’s best defenses this past season, as the Chiefs were 2nd in the NFL in points allowed and yards allowed.
After seeing the contracts handed out to Trevon Diggs last offseason and Jaylon Johnson this offseason, Sneed is surely ready to capitalize on all the success he has had thus far.
The Cowboys gave Diggs a five-year, $97 million deal last offseason, while Johnson just re-upped with the Bears for four years and $76 million.
The Colts and Titans are two of the teams who have been early pursuers of the star corner.
Keep an eye out for any more eyeball emojis.
When we get three or four of them, a trade has to be imminent.
