The Miami Dolphins will be down one key piece for the next month or so.
According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the team placed star LT Terron Armstead on Injured Reserve (IR) after suffering a knee injury during the loss to the Buffalo Bills.
The #Dolphins are placing LT Terron
Armstead on injured reserve because of a knee injury suffered in Sunday’s loss to the #Bills, sources tell me and @RapSheet.The good news is it’s not expected to be season-ending. But Armstead will miss at least four games. pic.twitter.com/JHV9HryNKV

This opens up a roster spot for the recently-acquired Chase Claypool.
This is going to be a massive blow in terms of pass protection, and it could take a big toll on Tua Tagovailoa’s play in the next weeks.
Armstead will be required to miss at least the next four games.
That means they won’t have him on the field to face the New York Giants, Carolina Panthers, Philadelphia Eagles, and New England Patriots.
The earliest he could be back is in Week 9 for their trip to Frankfurt, Germany, for their long-awaited matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Needless to say, the Dolphins could tend look to err on the side of caution and keep him out for an extra week so he can come back after their Week 10 bye.
The injury-prone star suffered the injury late in the first half of their divisional loss to the Bills.
His career has been plagued by multiple ailments like this.
That’s why Mike McDaniel’s team isn’t likely to take any chances on him and will allow him to heal for as long as it’s necessary, regardless of how big a blow it could be to their explosive offense.
