The Las Vegas Raiders released former star DE Chandler Jones after he was arrested last week.
Jones allegedly violated a domestic violence temporary protective order and was taken into custody with a $15,000 bail.
Needless to say, it didn’t take long before people started talking about him, especially after watching his erratic behavior and somewhat odd rants on social media.
That’s why former NFL defensive star Ryan Clark took offense at those comments.
Chandler Jones was recently arrested, and released from the @raiders. His ordeal raised an interesting question. Why are these behaviors taking place? As usual, the casual “he has CTE” crowd screamed loudest. Often with laughter.

In his latest appearance on The Pivot, the former Pittsburgh Steelers defenseman talked about how it seems like there’s no sympathy or empathy for football players who struggle with CTE because they got paid a lot of money and knew the potential consequences of that.
Yeah, football players knew what they were getting into, and most of them make way more money than the average person, but that doesn’t mean we should dehumanize them.
Also, plenty of them chose that line of work because it was their best — and sometimes even only — way to make an honest living and improve their and their families’ quality of life.
At the end of the day, we can only hope that Jones gets the help he so clearly needs right now.
