The New York Yankees usually host a myriad of legendary players and coaches every spring training as guest instructors.
Others just stop by and say hello to current players and coaches.
In short, Yankees camp is always filled with star power.
For example, Joe Torre has been in camp for the last few days as a guest.
On Monday, he certainly made his presence felt and turned back the clock for nostalgic Yankees fans.
When it was time to take Carlos Rodon out of the game after he reached his pitch count, manager Aaron Boone was nowhere to be found.
Instead, it was Torre who went to the mound, had a chat with Rodon, and took him out.
It was an iconic spring moment.
“Carlos Rodón pitches 5.2 no-hit innings and Joe Torre comes out for the pitching change. Chills,” Talkin’ Yanks tweeted.

Both Torre and Rodon appeared to enjoy the conversation and the fact it was Torre as the one taking Rodon out of the game.
The left-hander was brilliant, allowing no hits and striking out five in 5.2 frames.
It’s the best he has looked in quite a while, considering he posted a 6.85 ERA last year in pinstripes.
Torre, in turn, looks like he enjoyed his Yankees visit.
He is one of the most successful managers in team history, and that’s saying a lot.
He won four World Series championships in New York: 1996, 1998, 1999, and 2000, and lost the 2001 and 2003 World Series.
Monday was the first time Torre has worn a Yankees uniform since his managerial stint ended in 2007.
