The New York Jets entered the 2023 NFL Season with much excitement and anticipation.
Many predicted they would make the playoffs for the first time in more than a decade, thanks to Aaron Rodgers’s addition.
This initial excitement was quickly quelled when Rodgers tore his Achilles in the first drive of the season.
While another down season might have frustrated some fans, a similar amount of anticipation is building for the Jets in 2024.
Craig Carton recently spoke about this on his show: “On paper, Joe Douglas has now put together the single greatest collection of talent the New York Jets organization has ever had.”

In Carton’s eyes, the roster the Jets are assembling is the best they’ve had in years, and if they can’t make the playoffs in 2024, it might not happen for the foreseeable future.
The Jets already have one of the best defenses in the league and have taken strides throughout the offseason to get better at other positions as well.
Some of their notable additions thus far are Tyron Smith and Javon Kinlaw.
Smith should be a day-one starter for their offensive line, and Kinlaw will add to an already potent defensive group.
While there is all this excitement surrounding the Jets and what is expected of them this season, they still need to go out and make it happen.
If Rodgers isn’t fully healthy, as evidenced by their performance last year, this team will have a tough time making the playoffs.
Football is a team sport, but teams can easily falter without a leader.
