With only a few weeks left until the Chicago Bears are officially on the clock with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the quarterbacks in the upcoming draft after starting to get analyzed nonstop, with every little detail being either praised or criticized.
Bo Nix of the University of Oregon is one quarterback in the upcoming draft class who might not make it into the first round, unlike Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels, J.J. McCarthy, and potentially others.
The consensus right now is Nix might be one of the first quarterbacks taken in the second round in the same way Will Levis was taken in the second round by the Tennessee Titans last year.
However, Nix did receive some high praise from draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. of ESPN, who believes the former Ducks star is comparable to future Hall of Famer Drew Brees, via NFL on ESPN.
“People will tell me I’m crazy probably, but the bottom line is I saw a little Drew Brees in Bo Nix,” Kiper said.

Obviously, if a team has a chance to bring in a quarterback who resembles Brees on the football field, they’ll jump at the opportunity, especially if they are looking for a potential franchise player to build around at the position.
At this point in time, there’s no telling where Nix might land in next month’s draft, as he might be able to sneak into the first round if he continues to get praise like this from respected members of the media like Kiper.
