The Philadelphia Eagles entered the offseason with a lot of work to do.
While they made it into the playoffs, they fell short of their goals, losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card round.
For a team that appeared in the Super Bowl one year prior, this was not the result they had hoped for.
In an effort to improve their luck heading into the 2024 campaign, the Eagles have added a few players on both sides of the ball in the beginning days of free agency.
While several of these moves have been highly regarded, Ross Tucker recently highlighted why Devin White was the most important, at least in his eyes.
“If you think about when the Eagles have played well in recent years, they have had a linebacker playing at a high level,” Ross said.
Feels like LB Devin White is the Eagles most important free agent signing.

White has been a solid linebacker throughout his career and has been a staple of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ defense for several seasons.
While this is the case, and Ross understands that the Eagles believe he can make a significant impact on this team, he also discussed a cautionary tale with White.
He believes White is a “home run” type of player, indicating that he will either be a massive hit for this team or he could fall short.
Either way, Ross sees this as a step in the right direction for the Eagles, a team desperately trying to get back on track.
Will White help jumpstart the defense to get them where they want to be?
