After parting ways with veteran quarterback Russell Wilson recently, following two disappointing seasons with the one-time Super Bowl champion leading the way, the Denver Broncos are heading in another direction at the quarterback position.
Although Jarrett Stidham might be the Week 1 starter for the Broncos, Denver could be one of the few teams that take a quarterback in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft.
Unfortunately for Denver, the Broncos will have limited options in the upcoming draft due to the fact the team will be drafting at No. 12 ahead of the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders at No. 13.
There could be quite a few quarterbacks taken before the Broncos are on the clock at No. 12, but Denver will still have a shot at bringing in a talented rookie at the quarterback position like Bo Nix out of the University of Oregon, who recently made an appearance on The Herd with Colin Cowherd and talked about meeting head coach Sean Payton.
“He’s been fun to interact with and fun to get to know as well,” Nix said.

As of right now, Nix isn’t expected to be taken in the first round of the upcoming NFL Draft, as he could be an early second-round pick like Will Levis was last year when the Tennessee Titans took him.
Although the Broncos could take a chance on Nix, it’s not beyond the realm of possibility that the Raiders try to bring him in, as they will also be looking for a talented young quarterback in the first or second round.
Denver will definitely be a team to watch in the draft as it is unclear what the team may do, but rolling the dice on a quarterback like Nix might be what Payton and company choose to do.
