The New York Jets are on the clock right now, and we’re not talking about the NFL Draft.
Robert Saleh, Joe Douglas, and Nathaniel Hackett could all be on borrowed time if they don’t get the job done this season.
Some argued that they should’ve been fired after they underperformed last season, but Aaron Rodgers’ injury bought them more time.
Now, there’s no more room for excuses.
Saleh talked to NFL Network’s Steve Wyche at the Annual League Meeting, and he made it loud and clear that the Jets are going for the whole thing next season, knowing that they should’ve done it last year (via Around the NFL):
“(I’m) excited to attack this season and try to accomplish the things we were supposed to accomplish a year ago,” Saleh said.

The Jets have gone the extra mile to revamp their ever-struggling offensive line, also adding another prime weapon in the passing game.
Of course, there will always be injury concerns when it comes to this team, especially considering how old some of their key players are.
On paper, the Jets have absolutely everything they need to be one of the strongest Super Bowl contenders in the game.
Then again, they will have to get past the Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills in their own division before even thinking about a Super Bowl parade.
It’s been ages since the Jets were a competitive team, and there will be no more benefit of the doubt or margin for error in New York; it’s go time.
