The New York Jets had a disappointing season in 2023.
They were expected to be in the Super Bowl conversation, yet they couldn’t even make the playoffs.
Of course, it all had to do with Aaron Rodgers suffering a season-ending injury four plays into the season, and the team refused to improve their backup quarterback situation after that.
The silver lining is that they now have the No. 10 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, and they’re going to add a potential star with that selection.
Considering that, Rich Cimini of ESPN stated that the Jets are likely to choose between TE Brock Bowers or the best available offensive tackle (via Paul Andrew Esden Jr).
Rich Cimini of ESPN believes the #Jets decision with the No. 10 overall pick will come down to Georgia TE Brock Bowers vs “the best available offensive tackle.”

Bowers is one of the most polished and promising tight end prospects, and people have gotten to see him dominate over and over with the Georgia Bulldogs.
Per Cimini, the thing that could end up shifting the scale in his favor is his ability to pile up yards after the catch, as he actually averaged more YAC than the top three WR prospects in this class (8.8).
He added that he turns into a running back when he holds the football, also praising his ability to break tackles, which is not so usual for a tight end.
For years, scouts have raved about the Georgia product.
The Jets already have Garrett Wilson and Mike Williams as pass-catching threats, but you can never have too many weapons, especially with Aaron Rodgers throwing the football for your team.
