Fewer NFL teams entered the offseason with more pressing questions than the Dallas Cowboys.
The Cowboys were fresh off losing to the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card round of the playoffs, a surprising loss that not many people saw coming.
After all, the Cowboys had a perfect home record to that point, and they were one of the most dominant teams in the league.
With this loss in mind, fans started asking many questions about the future of this team, particularly about what direction they were considering at quarterback.
The team initially viewed Dak Prescott positively, and judging by Jerry Jones’ recent comments, he seems to agree.
Jones recently had a conversation with reporter David Moore, where he said, “I think there are a handful or more of quarterbacks playing who haven’t won a Super Bowl that will win a Super Bowl.”
In a follow-up comment, Jones said, “I think Dak is one of them. I’m firm there. He’s one of the ones who can.”

Despite fan complaints about the team’s quarterback situation, Jones seems adamant that Prescott is this team’s future.
In his eyes, Prescott gives them the best chance to win the big game, even though he hasn’t yet done that in his career.
Prescott’s contract extension is looming over all of these comments, so it will be interesting to see how the team navigates that over the next several months.
He is technically tied to the team through the 2024 season, but many expect the team to get a deal done soon.
The quicker their deal is completed, the more confident fans might be in Jones’ trust in Prescott moving forward.
