The Kansas City Chiefs are coming off their second straight Super Bowl victory.
While some questioned the team’s ability to get it done coming into the year, the Chiefs were able to achieve their goals.
Their attention has now turned to the 2024 NFL Season, where they are starting to plan for the year, hoping to be the first team in league history to win three Super Bowls in a row.
The Chiefs are returning many of their Super Bowl champs from last year’s roster, but one notable defender will not join them.
After franchise tagging him, the Chiefs traded L’Jarius Sneed to the Tennessee Titans, a move that has not been received well.
Craig Carton recently spoke about this on his show, saying, “I just don’t see how this makes them better.”

Sure, the Chiefs avoided paying Sneed a massive contract extension, but at what cost?
It doesn’t matter how much they paid Sneed if they win another Super Bowl, as their investment would have been worth it.
He was instrumental in their victory and will be greatly missed in their secondary.
This trade now begs the question of what the Chiefs will do at the position and how they can replace him.
Some have suggested that the Chiefs look at cornerback in the draft, hoping to find a rookie prospect ready to contribute immediately.
The Chiefs had one of the best defenses in the NFL last year, so it will be interesting to see if they can find themselves among the league’s elites without Sneed.
