The New York Jets want to do things right this time.
They went all-in on Aaron Rodgers — as they should — but they didn’t seem to have a plan B after he suffered a season-ending injury.
Even if they trusted Zach Wilson to take a big leap in year three, it didn’t take long before it became evident that he wasn’t cut out to be their starting quarterback.
However, HC Robert Saleh and GM Joe Douglas didn’t look for a replacement.
Now, they’re not going to make the same mistake.
They’ve already signed Tyrod Taylor as an insurance policy, but they’re not going to stop there.
According to a report by Connor Hughes, Saleh confirmed that the Jets are going to add another quarterback to their room.
Robert Saleh said the #Jets plan to add another quarterback to the room.

He didn’t specify whether he meant a rookie that they would look to develop behind Rodgers or a veteran player.
Whatever the case, this will all but put an end to Wilson’s tenure in New York.
His trade value is low, and chances are the Jets would actually have to give up assets to move on from him.
Taylor is one of the best backup quarterbacks in the game, but he has struggled with injuries throughout the course of his career, so this makes perfect sense.
Also, with Rodgers not getting any younger, it’s only normal to see this team planning for the future already, as he might not be there for much longer.
