The Tennessee Titans are having a busy offseason and just completed their biggest move of all, acquiring star corner L’Jarius Sneed from the Chiefs for a 2025 third-round pick and a swap of 2024 seventh-round picks.
Sneed has blossomed into one of the best corners in the league over the past few seasons and was unable to agree to a long-term deal with Kansas City after being franchise-tagged earlier this offseason.
That is not going to be the case in Tennessee, as NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is reporting that his extension is now official and he has signed a 4-year, $76.4 million deal with the Titans, including $55 million guaranteed and a $20 million signing bonus.

Sneed has 10 interceptions in his four years with the Chiefs and is coming off a year where he put up 78 tackles and a pair of interceptions while growing into a true shutdown corner.
The Titans have an entirely new coaching regime and have overhauled their roster this offseason, also bringing in Calvin Ridley, Lloyd Cushenberry, Tony Pollard, Sebastian Joseph-Day, Chidobe Awuzie, and Kenneth Murray in free agency.
Tennessee has struggled to maintain a strong secondary for years, and Sneed and Awuzie are now both locked in long-term to serve as the top two corners for a defense sorely in need of it.
The Titans were last in the NFL with just six interceptions last season and lost corners Sean Murphy-Bunting and Kristian Fulton in free agency, and will now be able to slide young corners Roger McCreary and Elijah Molden more towards slot corner and nickel roles where each of them thrives.
