The Tennessee Titans have had a strong offseason behind their new coaching regime with head coach Brian Callahan working to modernize a franchise sorely in need of an overhaul.
Tennessee has been an old-school, smash-mouth football team throughout its history, and Callahan is aiming to make the team faster and more explosive after a second consecutive losing season.
Much of this plan starts and ends with second-year quarterback Will Levis, who impressed after taking over as a starter halfway through his rookie season, and Callahan made his first public comments about him recently, stating: “I think what’s ahead for him is exciting,” per SiriusXM NFL Radio.

Callahan praised Levis for being competitive, tough, intense, and incredibly gifted athletically and said he can’t wait to begin working with him.
Callahan and GM Ran Carthon are making the most of the team’s favorable salary cap situation and are taking advantage of having a quarterback on a rookie deal.
This offseason has been spent giving Levis everything he needs to prove he can be the team’s franchise quarterback, bringing in Calvin Ridley and Tony Pollard to serve as weapons on offense, and also solidifying the offensive line by signing one of the NFL’s best centers in Lloyd Cushenberry.
Levis threw for 1,808 yards, eight touchdowns, and four interceptions behind a miserable offensive line last season and very little receiving help outside of DeAndre Hopkins.
With Callahan at the helm, this offense will likely take pages out of Cincinnati’s book and look to be more explosive in the passing game behind a big-armed QB and multiple game-breaking wideouts.
