The Chicago Bears are ready to enter a new era.
Caleb Williams is almost a lock to be the No. 1 pick, and while some are still concerned about him, his character, and his ability to play in the cold, it’s clear that the team isn’t worried about that one bit.
Otherwise, they wouldn’t have parted ways with Justin Fields.
Recently, GM Ryan Poles claimed that trading Fields was a difficult decision and one of the hardest things he’s ever had to do.
Then, in his recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, he doubled down on it by praising Fields, calling him a very good person who works his tail off.
“Justin Fields is a great kid and he works his butt off,” Poles said.

Fields never got a fair opportunity to prove his worth in the Windy City.
He’ll now fight with Russell Wilson for the QB1 spot with the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he’ll have a huge chip on his shoulder to prove the doubters wrong.
He has the potential to be one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the league, as his ability to scramble and roll out of the pocket is top notch.
Williams, on the other side, has drawn comparisons to Patrick Mahomes.
The Bears have never had an elite quarterback in franchise history, and it’s not much of a coincidence that they have struggled to be relevant for decades.
Now, they’re trying to do things right and surround their new quarterback with the weapons he needs, and it’s an exciting time to be a Bears fan, which is something that hasn’t happened very often.
