Unlike what other people think, the San Francisco 49ers have already found their quarterback.
The ownership and the coaching staff are thrilled with Brock Purdy, and they’re reportedly more than ready to commit to him for years to come.
Recently, CEO Jed York claimed that having to pay Purdy would be a ‘good problem,’ adding that he wouldn’t hesitate to sign him to the kind of deal he deserves.

With that in mind, former NFL player Willie Colon claimed that if he were Purdy, he wouldn’t even show up to training camp without a new deal.
Talking on The Carton Show, Colon predicted that Purdy would become the highest-paid player in NFL history soon.
He stated that Purdy has already done everything they’ve asked of him, coming back from an injury to lead the Niners to the Super Bowl, and proving that he could also take over and be the reason why they win some games.
Purdy might not be the most talented quarterback in the game, but this is just the way this business goes.
Every starting quarterback’s deal tops the previous one, so his deal shouldn’t be the exception to that rule.
He’s done a lot of winning since he took the reins of the team, and Colon has a valid point in terms of him looking to protect himself from injuries by signing a deal as soon as possible.
On the downside, the Niners have plenty of stars, and signing Purdy to a huge contract might hamper their ability to retain them for years to come.
