The NFL Draft is just around the corner.
And even though some experts and fans have spent months putting their mock drafts together, there are always multiple surprises.
That’s why NFL analyst Mina Kimes believes the Los Angeles Chargers should create some chaos and trade down.
Most mocks have them taking either OT Joe Alt or WR Malik Nabers.
Nonetheless, she believes they have many glaring holes right now.
Talking on her podcast, she stated that the Chargers’ roster is more flawed than people realize, as several of their players are older, and they could use the extra draft picks.
NOBODY YELL AT ME but the Chargers should probably trade down.
Talked about the state of the roster with @TampaBayTre on this week’s team needs pod….

So, as much as they would obviously love to have Alt or Nabers, perhaps they would be better off adding more players later.
With new HC Jim Harbaugh set to take over to build and develop his project, this makes perfect sense.
The Chargers already have the most important piece in a franchise quarterback, but it takes so much to compete at the highest level in the National Football League.
Of course, the hype is at an all-time high with coach Harbaugh arriving in Los Angeles, and rightfully so.
But they still have to get past the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West Division, and with their current salary-cap situation, perhaps it would be better for them to add younger players on cheaper contracts.
Whether that’s going to happen or not remains to be seen, but it definitely makes plenty of sense for this organization.
