The New England Patriots will always be Tom Brady’s franchise.
Even if it’s been years since he last played for them, it’s hard to envision any player ever overshadowing what he did for the organization.
Needless to say, that’s a big weight to carry if you’re a young quarterback, especially if you consider how the previous guy fared.
Nonetheless, that’s not much of a factor for Jayden Daniels.
When asked about potentially getting a chance to play in Foxboro, the LSU star made it loud and clear that he’s a game-changer who won’t shy away from the challenge.
Talking to Christopher Price of the Boston Globe, he stated that he proved enough in Death Valley after Joe Burrow dominated there, so he can do the same in Foxboro (via Los Talks Pats).
Jayden Daniels believes he can take on the challenge of being the next great #Patriots quarterback, he told @cpriceglobe.
“I played in Death Valley after Joe Burrow… I’m ready for anything.”
Daniels added, “I’m a game-changer…That’s what I can bring to that franchise.” pic.twitter.com/FHMSRccJ9t

Of course, the collegiate and pro games cannot be compared, but the point is valid.
Daniels is projected to be the No. 2 pick in the upcoming edition of the NFL Draft, meaning he’d go to the Washington Commanders.
Nonetheless, with Drake Maye set to have his Pro Day, that could change.
Some believe Daniels, not Caleb Williams, is actually the best quarterback prospect in this class, and he has definitely made a strong case for that.
Daniels looks like the prototypical dual-threat quarterback that’s tailor-made for today’s game, so he should be able to find success regardless of where he plays at the next level.
