With there being a number of intriguing quarterback prospects available in this year’s NFL Draft, it’s no surprise that there are a variety of different opinions on each of the young passers.
Most assume former USC signal-caller Caleb Williams will be the first quarterback to come off of the board in April when the Chicago Bears are on the clock with the No. 1 pick.
After that, it’s really anyone’s guess as to which passing prospect will be selected in the opening round of this year’s draft.
Former North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye is regarded as one of the best prospects in the 2024 draft pool, and regardless of who ends up selecting him in a few weeks, former NFL player Harry Douglas recently shared how he thinks the young signal-caller could turn out to be the best quarterback to come out of the 2024 draft (via First Take on Twitter).

Douglas shared two big reasons why he thinks Maye has the potential to have the best NFL career of all the quarterbacks available in this year’s draft.
The first being that he was still able to thrive at North Carolina despite the school having two different offensive coordinators during his tenure.
Second, Douglas mentions that Maye still managed to put up impressive numbers without North Carolina’s offense being full of future NFL stars like some of the other 2024 quarterback prospects had the luxury of during their college careers.
Douglas also makes sure to point out that Maye would likely benefit from sitting out for a season, but after that, the sky apparently seems to be the limit for the former North Carolina signal-caller.
