With less than a month to go until the start of the 2024 NFL Draft, rumors and speculation are running rampant, with everyone wondering what teams will do once USC superstar quarterback Caleb Williams is off the board when the Chicago Bears presumably take him at No. 1 overall.
The intrigue in the upcoming draft starts at No. 2 overall, with a few top prospects at the quarterback position in the running to be taken in that spot by the Washington Commanders.
The consensus seems to be that Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels, and J.J. McCarthy are all in contention to be off the board at No. 2 overall, but it remains unclear where the Commanders are leaning at this point with only a few weeks left until draft day on April 25.
Interestingly enough, a strange picture of Daniels recently surfaced of him throwing a football with something weird going on with his elbow, which the reigning Heisman Trophy winner addressed on his Twitter account.
“my elbow is perfectly fine .. stop the cap!!” he tweeted.

With these three top-tier quarterbacks going up and down draft boards, strange rumors and things that will change the narrative about each player will continue to surface over the next few weeks.
However, Daniels will likely be taken in the first five picks in the draft and has a strong case to be taken at No. 2 overall by the Commanders.
The New England Patriots will be on the clock at No. 3 overall and will likely be targeting a quarterback as well as a few other teams near the top of the draft like the Las Vegas Raiders, New York Giants, Denver Broncos, and Seattle Seahawks.
