The Green Bay Packers are coming off an impressive season.
Jordan Love looks every bit like the franchise quarterback they promised he’d be.
Even so, all good quarterbacks need a solid wide receiver corps to be at their best.
The Packers have a very promising one, led by third-year pro Christian Watson.
Nonetheless, the former second-round pick has spent plenty of time on the shelf during his brief NFL career, mostly due to nagging hamstring injuries.
Last season alone, he missed eight games due to hamstring issues, which is why the team is looking forward to getting ahead of this issue and solving it once and for all.
Recently, HC Matt LaFleur revealed that Watson visited a lab in Madison to try and get to the bottom of this subject (via The Green Bay Press-Gazette & ProFootballTalk):
“They’ve got some special lab there or whatever that all the medical guys can give you the better diagnosis on [Watson],” LaFleur said, via Pete Dougherty of the Green Bay Press-Gazette. “But yeah, we’ve looked at a lot of different things in terms of just his body comp and maybe areas that were stronger than others to try to help get us in front of that.”

Watson has shown the potential to be a star in this league, being efficient and dominant when on the field.
Last season, he logged 28 receptions for 422 yards and five scores.
Jordan Love has developed a strong rapport with multiple players, and LaFleur is a creative offensive mind who has proven that he can make the most of their young players, regardless of who they are.
But the Packers, just like every single team, need a clear-cut alpha dog leading the way in the passing game, and they can’t afford to have theirs missing half of the season every year.
