Although the 2024 NFL season is still a ways away, there is a lot of excitement in the football world as teams and fans get ready for the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft.
This year’s draft class features several high-profile names that can alter a franchise’s fortunes, with the top group consisting of quarterbacks and wide receivers.
After the draft will be the start of offseason training activities and eventually mandatory minicamp before training camp kicks off in July.
While NFL football won’t be on television sets for several more months, there will still be games to watch as the United Football League will kick off its 2024 season this weekend.
The UFL was formed after the XFL and USFL merged last year and the two leagues will now serve as the two conferences with each of them comprised of four teams.
The first game of the slate features the Arlington Renegades hosting the Birmingham Stallions and former NFL stars Troy Aikman and Deion Sanders were present for the festivities via UFL.

Aikman and Sanders can be seen talking on the field, though their attendance alone adds some legitimacy to the UFL.
The Renegades and Stallions were the 2023 XFL and USFL champions, respectively, making this the perfect first game for the new UFL.
The hope for the UFL is to create a rivalry between the NFL and USFL brands under the merger and give more players the opportunity to play professional football.
The UFL should serve as a worthy substitute to professional football until the 2024 NFL season kicks off later this year.
