As the start of the 2024 NFL Draft draws near, the rumors and speculation are really starting to ramp up, with all the talk being about the talented young quarterbacks in this draft class and where they might land.
There seems to be no doubt at this point in time that USC superstar quarterback Caleb Williams will land with the Chicago Bears at No. 1 overall, but there’s no telling what will happen from there on out, even though the consensus is that quarterbacks could be taken one after another at the top of the draft.
One quarterback that has made a lot of noise over the past month or so is J.J. McCarthy out of the University of Michigan, who went from a player who could’ve slipped out of the first round to being considered a quarterback who could be taken in the top five.
Matt Miller of ESPN believes that it would be a “surprise” if McCarthy falls below the No. 4 pick in the upcoming draft, which is currently held by the Arizona Cardinals, who have Kyler Murray and don’t need a quarterback, via JPAFootball.

There’s no doubt that the Cardinals, Washington Commanders (No. 2), and New England Patriots (No. 3) are fielding a lot of trade calls from teams that want to trade up in the draft to land one of the best quarterbacks in this draft class.
As of right now, Williams, Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels, and McCarthy are considered to be the top-five prospects in the draft, with plenty of teams that would love to bring them in.
