Former NFL quarterback Brady Quinn has a surprising pick for which prospect he believes could potentially surprise GMs.
At 6-foot-5 and 235 pounds, Quinn’s unheralded prospect is physically gifted with the size and stature NFL franchises seek for the quarterback position.
In a video posted to Twitter by NFL on CBS, Quinn explained that former Tennessee Volunteer quarterback Joe Milton is his selection as the signal caller with the “most upside of any player in this draft class.”

Quinn’s comparison of Milton is with Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson.
Both Milton and Richardson are tall, fast athletes who had short college playing careers for scouts to evaluate their abilities.
Still, Quinn believes Milton’s athleticism and arm strength will allow him to make throws other quarterbacks in the league cannot make.
Quinn further noted that Milton had a strong pocket presence and made smart decisions with the football to avoid turnovers.
To further his point, the analyst showed a clip from the Tennessee-Florida game last year where Milton shined.
Milton completed a long pass with ease by “flicking his wrist” to throw the precision pass to another Volunteer player for 35 yards, Quinn added.
Like Richardson, Quinn believes whichever NFL franchise select Milton will have a “project” player that will need significant work to see the field.
Milton played three years with Tennessee, completing 63% of his passes for 4,159 yards and 32 touchdowns.
