Derrick Henry entered the offseason with several pressing questions surrounding him.
It didn’t seem likely that he was going to re-sign with the Tennesee Titans, especially since the team didn’t sign him to a contract extension in the prior offseason.
Several teams were interested in adding the veteran back to their team, but he ultimately signed with the Baltimore Ravens.
While this seems like a good pairing for him, it might not have happened if the Dallas Cowboys were interested in him.
Henry recently discussed on The Pivot podcast, calling the Cowboys the “perfect situation,” but “they never reached out.”

The Cowboys lost Tony Pollard in free agency, leaving their running back room up in the air.
At the moment, Rico Dowdle appears to be the top back on the roster, but it remains to be seen if the team will sign anyone else to challenge him for RB one.
Their loss is the Ravens’ gain, who look to gain stability on the ground from one of the best backs in the NFL over the past several years.
The Ravens made it to the AFC Championship last year, falling just short of the Super Bowl.
By adding a player like Henry, this team is telling the rest of the league that they are all in, ready to do whatever it takes to win the big game.
They might have a more difficult challenge in the AFC North in 2024 than they did in 2023, but if they can play similarly to how they did last year, the Ravens should find themselves in a favorable position.
