The Minnesota Vikings have a decision to make about Justin Jefferson.
The superstar wide receiver has yet to sign a contract extension, and he doesn’t look to be in a hurry to do so.
With that in mind, NFL analyst Craig Carton believes it’s a matter of time before Jefferson heads out the door.
That’s why he thinks they should trade him now before it’s too late.
Talking on “The Carton Show,” the host made a case for the Vikings to move on from their star wideout, as he’s pretty much telling them that he doesn’t want to be there.
“The Vikings gotta trade Justin Jefferson. He’s telling you I’m not re-signing here.”

He’s turned down very lucrative contract extensions, so it might not be about money.
Carton also predicted that Jefferson might be the biggest candidate to be moved either during the NFL Draft or before the trade deadline, adding that the Vikings aren’t going to be a good football team.
That’s not very far-fetched to think.
The Vikings don’t have Kirk Cousins anymore, and they might not even be able to trade up and land a new franchise-caliber quarterback in the NFL Draft.
Even if they do, it’s not so usual to see rookie quarterbacks figure things out right away, and they’re more than just one piece away at this moment.
Jefferson is still young, but star players are always pressured and looking to compete at the highest level, and that might not be the case if he stays in Minnesota, at least not for the time being.
Whether they’ll look to move him or not remains to be seen.
