It’s been a tough offseason for Dallas Cowboys fans.
Their team has barely done anything, and that’s despite having some glaring holes that need to be addressed.
On the other side of the state, the Houston Texans keep making moves.
That’s why, now that they’ve traded for WR Stefon Diggs, Stephen A. Smith believes the Cowboys are not even the best team in Texas (via JPAFootball and Awful Announcing).

Talking on “First Take,” the ESPN pundit pointed out the fact that the Texans are focusing on the right things by adding talent around their young quarterback, all while the Cowboys will have to figure out how to pay Dak Prescott, Micah Parsons, and CeeDee Lamb.
Truth be told, it’s hard to argue with that logic.
The Texans got further into the playoffs than the Cowboys in the first season under coach DeMeco Ryans, who Smith believes is a better coach than Mike McCarthy.
They also have a younger — and significantly better — quarterback in C.J. Stroud.
The Texans are one of the youngest franchises in the game, and the Cowboys have perhaps the largest fan base.
But that’s not going to change the fact that their neighbors have a better roster than them right now.
And while both teams are still pieces away from being a legitimate Super Bowl contender, chances are that at least eight out of ten fans and analysts would argue that, right now, the Texans have a better chance to hoist the Vince Lombardi trophy than America’s Team.
