The Buffalo Bills just made a big move.
They got rid of Stefon Diggs and won’t even get a draft pick in return for him, at least not in this edition of the NFL Draft.
Getting a 2025 second-round pick for him and absorbing a huge cap hit in dead money speaks volumes about the team’s desire to move on from him.
That’s why Skip Bayless believes the Bills’ management ultimately chose their quarterback over their wide receiver.
Talking on “Undisputed,” he thinks that maybe Josh Allen thought he could no longer coexist with Diggs, his ego, and his antics, and last season proved that they didn’t need him to be at their best.

Of course, he also believes this could come back to haunt them at some point, but it was a move that needed to be done.
Diggs’ impact on the offense took a huge dip in the second half of the season.
With Joe Brady taking the reins of the offense from Ken Dorsey, the Bills spread the wealth in the passing game and also got James Cook way more involved as a runner, with multiple games in which Diggs wasn’t even a factor anymore.
Perhaps they think they can get by without him, and given his history of insubordination and the instances in which he went at Allen, the management thought it was better for everybody involved to just move on.
Whether they’ll end up regretting that move or not remains to be seen.
