After winning three Super Bowls in five years, there’s no question that the Kansas City Chiefs are still the favorites to win it all once again in 2024.
That being said, the AFC is still stacked, and the Chiefs’ path to a three-peat got a little cloudier today after a big trade was made by one of their conference foes.
NBC Sports Bet reported that according to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Houston Texans’ odds to win the Super Bowl have improved since the announcement of their trade for Stefon Diggs, as they pointed out the drop from +2500 immediately to +2000, and it’s not stopping there.
The Texans now have the 4th best title odds in the AFC.

As of writing this, the Texans are already at +1600 to win it all with only seven teams in the league ahead of them, including the Chiefs (+550), San Francisco 49ers (+600), Baltimore Ravens (+900), Detroit Lions (+1200), Buffalo Bills (+1200), and Cincinnati Bengals (+1300).
The Texans are adding one of the game’s best receivers to an offense that already had Tank Dell and Nico Collins at the position, giving them one of, if not the league’s best wide receiver rooms.
It’s interesting that the Bills still have better odds than the Texans even after trading Diggs to them, as Buffalo now has almost nothing of note at wide receiver due to also losing Gabe Davis in free agency to the Jacksonville Jaguars this offseason.
If the odds are continuing to drop that quickly, it’s likely people have quickly jumped on board and are heavily betting on the Texans to win it all.
We’ll see how much more that line will move after this blockbuster trade.
