Huge trades and free-agent signings always have a major impact on betting lines, and that was no different today after the Buffalo Bills made headlines by trading star wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans for a 2025 2nd-round pick.
The Bills are now left with two massive voids at wide receiver after also losing Gabe Davis to the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency, but while the Texans’ betting odds have improved drastically, the Bills’ haven’t gone down at quite the same rate.
According to DraftKings Sportsbook, via uSTADIUM on Twitter, the Bills are still the favorites to win the AFC East at +160, while the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets are right behind them at +200 each.

The New England Patriots with their rookie head coach and bevy of question marks on offense are a distant fourth at +2500.
The Texans have seen their odds to win the Super Bowl go from +2500 to +1600 already, but the Bills have held steady perhaps due to the fact that Diggs was not quite as effective last season as he had been in previous years.
Maybe the Chiefs winning the Super Bowl while having some of the worst wide receiver production in the league has given oddsmakers more confidence that the Bills can continue winning even without Diggs and Davis.
The upcoming draft is also loaded with wide receiver talent and the Bills have the 28th overall pick as well as two fourths, three fifths, and three sixth-round picks, so they can choose to load up on receivers in the middle rounds if they want.
