The Buffalo Bills shook up the landscape of the AFC today by trading star wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans for a 2025 2nd-round pick, leaving behind a massive void at wide receiver made even worse by Gabe Davis leaving in free agency as well.
With a slew of mid-round picks at their disposal in the upcoming NFL Draft, the Bills will most assuredly be selecting at least one new pass-catcher for star quarterback Josh Allen.
A two-time national champion is already on their radar, as Georgia wide receiver Ladd McConkey appeared on “Up & Adams” today and said that he has met with the Bills “a couple times” already in response to his reaction to the Diggs trade.

McConkey left Georgia after a mediocre junior season where he caught 30 passes for 478 yards and two touchdowns.
The 22-year-old had an impressive NFL Combine performance, where he ran a 4.39 40-yard dash and posted a 36-inch vertical leap while measuring out at 6-feet and 186 pounds.
The Bills have a late second-round pick and are loaded with Day 3 picks, including two in the fourth round and three each in the fifth and sixth rounds.
McConkey has all the makings of a great slot receiver, with exceptional route-running ability and legitimate open-field speed and explosiveness despite his slender frame and limited jump-ball ability.
Josh Allen hasn’t had a reliable slot receiver since Cole Beasley was in town, and while McConkey doesn’t have the profile to replace Diggs or Davis, he’d still be a strong addition to the team as a Day 2 or Day 3 pick.
