After Tom Brady left the New England Patriots, the team was in desperate need of a quarterback to replace him.
They took Mac Jones in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, but after a few years of trying things out, it was evident that he wasn’t a part of the team’s long-term plans.
Jones was recently traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars, a sign of a fresh start on both sides.
While Jones was with the Patriots, his personality didn’t necessarily shine on or off the field, which doesn’t seem to be the case in his early days with the Jaguars.
A video surfaced on Twitter of Jones talking about rapping and other hobbies he has, which was shared via JPA Football.
#Jaguars QB Mac Jones says he likes to rap and has a couple of songs… and he can tell people about it now that he’s not in New England.
He seems much happier in Jacksonville.

He seems to be much happier and more expressive now than he was in New England, a sign that things are going much better for him.
While Jones is slated to be Trevor Lawrence’s backup, if his personal situation improves, a team change might be just what he needs to take his next step in the league.
Being a backup quarterback can be viewed as a negative thing, but it has allowed several quarterbacks to gain starting roles over the past few years.
With any luck, Jones will continue to be positive about his new opportunity rather than focus on any negatives, resulting in more personal growth during his time in Jacksonville.
