The New York Jets should be ecstatic right now.
Not only did they revamp their team on both sides of the football field, but their strongest competitor also got worse.
With the Buffalo Bills losing both Gabe Davis and Stefon Diggs in the same offseason, they should no longer be favored to win the division.
Even so, as of now, oddsmakers still believe the Bills are the best team in the AFC East, followed by the Miami Dolphins, then the Jets, and lastly, the ever-struggling New England Patriots.
Nonetheless, NFL analyst — and well-known Jets fan — Craig Carton believes there’s plenty of bias in that ranking.
“The Jets are the best team in football not named San Francisco,” Carton said.

While he acknowledges that the Bills have owned the division for three straight years, he believes their supremacy is finally over.
He went as far as to state that the Jets are currently the second-best team in the league, behind only the San Francisco 49ers, talent-wise.
There’s an argument to be made there, and there’s no denying that the Jets, although historically not the most competitive team in the league, have a plethora of talent on their roster at this moment.
It’s also a fact that people continue to be biased when talking about the Jets.
They’ve had some tough luck throughout the years, including last season, when Aaron Rodgers was on the field for a grand total of four plays.
At the end of the day, talent alone doesn’t win football games, let alone Super Bowls, so the Jets will have to back it all up on the gridiron.
