The 2023 NFL season hasn’t been very kind to the Minnesota Vikings who are struggling mightily.
The Vikings just picked up their fourth loss this past Sunday as they were beaten by the Kansas City Chiefs, though they had their chances to steal the win.
Minnesota’s offense has been up and down so far this season and that was the case again as they only managed to score 20 points, with 13 of them coming in the first half.
Kirk Cousins had a solid day throwing the football as he racked up 284 yards and two touchdowns, though he did take three sacks.
Surprisingly enough, though, Justin Jefferson was quiet on the afternoon as he only reeled in three receptions for 28 yards.
Later, it was revealed that Jefferson suffered a hamstring injury and Minnesota is rightfully going to be incredibly cautious this week via Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Despite the team’s record, Jefferson has been his usual superstar self as he had recorded more than 100 receiving yards in their previous four games.
Hamstrings are tricky injuries that are easily re-aggravated and the Vikings should not have him suit up until he is completely past the issue.
It’s a difficult position to be in considering their record, but Minnesota has to keep their players’ health first.
Hopefully, testing goes well for Jefferson and he isn’t forced to go on injured reserve and miss too much time.
Jefferson is the key to the passing game, so Cousins would need to look to players like T.J. Hockenson and Jordan Addison to step up in the star receiver’s place.
