The first five weeks of the 2023 NFL season have been a bit of a rollercoaster for the Dallas Cowboys.
The Cowboys started off hot by dismantling teams with their defense before dropping a game to the Arizona Cardinals.
Dallas bounced back with a massive win over the New England Patriots but then turned around and fell flat on their face against the San Francisco 49ers on primetime.
The 49ers have been on a tear this year as they have won most of their games in convincing fashion and thoroughly embarrassed the Cowboys at Levi’s Stadium.
Coming into the regular season, most expected Dallas to rival San Francisco, but at this point of the regular season, the two teams are clearly on different levels.
A Super Bowl for the Cowboys feels out of reach right now, though Rich Eisen still believes they’ll make the postseason via The Rich Eisen Show.
“I still believe they’re a playoff team,” Eisen said.”

The Philadelphia Eagles look like they’ll win the NFC East again, but the Cowboys should be in the mix for a Wild Card spot given the talent they have across the roster.
Eisen says he’s not concerned about Dallas’ playoff hopes, but is skeptical about them making a deep run considering they’ll run into teams like Philadelphia and San Francisco.
Jerry Jones must know that his team could use a few tweaks or two, especially after some of the injuries they’ve endured the past couple of weeks.
With the NFL’s trade deadline coming up at the end of October, the Cowboys could be a buyer to watch out for.
