This year’s NFL draft class is thought to be the best in years, and at the top of the list of prospects is three or four quarterbacks that could each potentially become franchise players.
There are also three potential-rich wide receivers in this year’s crop: Marvin Harrison Jr., Malik Nabers and Rome Odunze.
But there is also another prospect at a different position who is expected to go pretty high in the draft: offensive tackle Joe Alt from the University of Notre Dame.
Per ProFootballTalk, Alt visited with the Tennessee Titans and New York Jets this week.

The Titans will have the No. 7 pick in this month’s draft, while the Jets are scheduled to select at No. 10.
Both teams could use help on their offensive lines, particularly the Jets, who had one of the NFL’s worst offensive lines and also have a 40-year-old starting QB who is coming off a torn Achilles.
The Jets went out and obtained offensive tackle Tyron Smith, a seven-time Pro Bowler, this offseason, and they also traded for another OT in Morgan Moses.
It isn’t often that an offensive lineman is taken with the first five to ten picks in the draft, and perhaps Alt won’t be good enough to be a starter in the NFL for a couple of years.
But at 6-foot-9, Alt could become something of an impenetrable man for opposing pass rushers once he figures out how to succeed at the next level.
There should certainly be other teams interested in drafting him, including possibly the Los Angeles Chargers, who have the No. 5 pick and a new head coach in Jim Harbaugh who wants to emphasize blocking and running.
