The Las Vegas Raiders have made plenty of changes over the last couple of years, but they have almost nothing to show for them.
As the 2024 offseason moves on, they have a new head coach in Antonio Pierce who is apparently well-liked by his players, and they still have stars such as wide receiver Davante Adams and pass rusher Maxx Crosby.
But they need a quarterback, and with the No. 13 pick in this year’s NFL Draft, they could be poised to add one.
Per Albert Breer, the Raiders are meeting with Michael Penix Jr. and Bo Nix this week.
The Raiders are having QBs roll through town this week—Washington’s Michael Penix is in for a 30 visit today, and Oregon’s Bo Nix has his 30 visit in Las Vegas tomorrow, per sources.

Penix and Nix aren’t among the very best QB prospects in this year’s draft, but they’re on the next tier down, and there’s always a chance at least one of them becomes a very good player.
Penix took the Washington Huskies to the College Football Playoff National Championship Game in January, where they lost to the University of Michigan, and for the season, he threw for 4,903 yards and 36 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Nix had 4,508 passing yards and 45 passing touchdowns plus six touchdowns on the ground last season for the Ducks.
His 77.4 percent completion rate in 2023 was a new NCAA record, which broke Mac Jones’ previous mark.
There has been some talk that perhaps Las Vegas will trade up in this year’s draft in order to get an elite prospect such as Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye, or J.J. McCarthy, who are believed to be three of the top-four QBs this year.
