The New England Patriots are in the midst of a busy offseason where they have a ton of cap space, the No. 3 pick in the draft, and a new head coach for the first time since 2000.
One new free-agent addition is already making himself at home, though it turns out his new home might not be quite what he expected.
New running back Antonio Gibson took to Instagram today, via Carlos Talks Pats on Twitter, to discuss the weather in his new city, saying: “I’m out here long sleeve with a sweater on, still freezing. Folks walking around in skirts, shorts. No beanie, hoodies, nothing!”
Recently-signed #Patriots RB Antonio Gibson took to Instagram to discuss Boston’s cold weather:
“Yeah, Boston a little different. I’m out here long sleeve with a sweater on, still freezing. Folks walking around in skirts, shorts. No beanie, hoodies, nothing!”

Welcome to Boston, Antonio!
It’s a rough time of year for Gibson to be getting acclimated to his new city, as the weather in Boston is in the low 40s today but should warm up a bit in the next few days.
Gibson signed a three-year deal worth $11.25 million with New England this offseason to join Rhamondre Stevenson in the backfield, so he should be able to budget for a few warm winter jackets.
Gibson has been improving as a pass catcher in recent years, as he has seen his targets, receptions, and receiving yards increase in each of his four years in the NFL.
His production on the ground has gone in the opposite direction, so he is now mostly established as a secondary back and will be stepping in for Ezekiel Elliott, who leaves New England after one year.
Hopefully, Gibson can acquire some quality mittens to keep his hands warm, as he should be catching quite a few passes this season.
