For some reason, some of the top prospects in the NFL Draft always seem to get in trouble before their life is going to change forever as they’ll finally get a chance to live their dream and play in the NFL while making more money than they ever dreamed of.
Regardless of how talented a player is coming out of the college game and how they should be on their best behavior to secure their future on the next level and not rub NFL teams the wrong way before they are on the clock in the draft, players always seem to get arrested and make poor choices off the field.
It seems that another promising young player has made a poor decision off the field once again, only a few weeks before he was expected to be taken in the second round or later in the 2024 NFL Draft.
“Texas DT T’Vondre Sweat was arrested early this morning and charged with DWI, according to @KXAN_News in Austin,” Dane Brugler tweeted.

It’ll be interesting to see how this arrest impacts his draft position and whether he plummets down draft boards due to obvious character concerns.
On April 25, the draft will get underway with the Chicago Bears on the clock at No. 1 overall, with the expectation being that the struggling franchise will bring in USC superstar quarterback Caleb Williams.
Only a few other players at the defensive tackle position are considered to be better prospects, including Leonard Taylor III, Kris Jenkins, Michael Hall Jr., Braden Fiske, Johnny Newton, and Byron Murphy II.
