The Philadelphia Eagles have had an interesting offseason.
After losing their first playoff game to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Eagles had to go back to the drawing board, hoping to devise a plan to regain their level of success in 2022.
They especially need to prepare for the future of their offensive line with the news of Jason Kelce retiring.
While losing Kelce is a massive blow, the Eagles might have lost another offensive lineman if a recent event had gone haywire.
Kelce and Lane Johnson appeared in this weekend’s WrestleMania event in Philadelphia, a stunt that had fans worried.
Johnson could have gotten injured and jeopardized his 2024 status with the team, but as a recent Pro Football Talk article indicated, the Eagles’ front office was well aware of his plans.
Eagles were aware of Lane Johnson’s plan to participate in WrestleMania. His script didn’t involve anything physical (unlike Jason Kelce). https://t.co/dpmKVa5aMi

Kelce was in charge of the more physical stunts in WrestleMania, while Johnson was more of a bystander, watching everything unfold.
This is great news for Eagles fans.
Not only did Johnson come away from this event unscathed, but he also pumped some life into this Philadelphia crowd.
There have been rumors that Johnson isn’t returning to the team in 2024, but his WrestleMania participation has given fans hope that he will be back.
After their hot start to the 2024 campaign, this Wild Card loss to the Buccaneers stung a bit extra this year, especially since it was Kelce’s last season.
It will be interesting to see how the team fares without him and if they can put together the missing pieces in 2024.
