When it rains, it pours for the Dallas Cowboys — or at least for their fans.
They’ve been the most disappointing team in the league in the offseason, and that’s on the heels of suffering one of the most — if not the most — heartbreaking playoff losses in franchise history.
They kept Mike McCarthy after that, saw two starting offensive linemen and their starting running back leave in free agency, and didn’t extend Dak Prescott’s contract.
On top of that, now Michael Gehlken reports that they could be looking at a CeeDee Lamb holdout.
Cowboys begin their voluntary spring workout program one week from today. Barring a surprise departure from precedent, WR CeeDee Lamb won’t participate, as a potential holdout looms. https://t.co/0BWpoNI0LO

The Cowboys picked up his fifth-year option for the upcoming campaign, and he’s about to make a $17.9 million base salary before potentially becoming a free agent next season.
That’s why Lamb could be looking to get paid right now, meaning he could threaten to sit out and not show up to their offseason program, even if that means he gets fined.
He’s coming off a career year, logging 135 receptions for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns in 17 appearances (all starts).
Projections state that Lamb could be looking at a deal close to four years and $115.4 million, giving him an average annual salary of almost $29 million.
He’s one of the five best wide receivers in the game right now, and not having him out there would set this team back even further.
