The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to keep the band together.
Despite some speculation about his future, it seems like Clyde Edwards-Helaire isn’t going anywhere.
The team decided to bring back the LSU product.
That’s why he took to social media to claim that he was back home and talk about how excited he was about this opportunity (Via Harold R. Kuntz).

Edwards was the last pick of the first round in the 2020 NFL Draft, and he entered the league with high expectations after a standout college career.
Thus far, he’s logged just 1,845 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns with 89 receptions for 765 yards and seven touchdowns in 48 career games (32 starts).
Injuries and inefficiency have made him lose ground in the pecking order, with Isiah Pacheco taking over as the starting running back.
Even so, Edwards-Helaire is still young.
At 24 years old, he should still have plenty of gas left in the tank, and the Chiefs always need depth.
Andy Reid’s team is looking to become the first to win three consecutive Super Bowls, but they don’t have that much money to make major moves, so it made sense to keep all the players they could for the long run.
Whether he’ll finally break out and become the star they hope will be a different story.
