The NFL Draft always sets the table for some questionable things.
More often than not, scouts, executives, or people close to a player’s or team’s environment leak negative information about the prospects.
Of course, a team needs to be aware of as many things as possible — both good and bad — before making a decision, so it only makes sense that they try to uncover as much ‘dirt’ as they can.
Then again, there’s a big difference between doing their due diligence and leaking that information.
With that in mind, former QB Robert Griffin III called out whoever leaked that LSU star WR Malik Nabers was ‘high maintenance’ and there were major concerns about his character or personality.
Whoever spread that Malik Nabers rumor hoping that he drops in the draft deserves to get his a** kicked. Tearing down a player’s character and hiding behind it being anonymous sources is cowardly.

Most people do that in an attempt to get the player to slip in the NFL Draft so their team has a chance to get him.
Everything goes in love and war, but they shouldn’t have to raise questions about a player’s character, establish a negative narrative, or hurt his reputation just to get him.
Nabers is considered to be the second-best wide receiver in this class, behind only Marvin Harrison Jr., and some believe the talent gap isn’t that wide at this point.
That’s why his draft stock isn’t likely to suffer much from this potential cheap shot.
Still, it was nice to see a former player standing up for his own, as this has been going on since the beginning of time, and unfortunately, it’s not likely to change any time soon.
