The Atlanta Falcons should fare much better next season.
And while having Kirk Cousins behind center might be the catalyst for that, getting Kyle Pitts more involved in the passing game should also do wonders for Raheem Morris’ team.
Notably, it seems like despite his lack of production under Arthur Smith, Falcons players still hold a high regard for the Florida star.
As shared by him on Instagram and reported by Miles Garrett of FOX Atlanta, Pitts just received the prestigious Ed Block Courage Award, which is given to those players who are viewed as role models of inspiration, sportsmanship, and courage.

Pitts was the highest-drafted tight end in NFL history, and expectations were sky-high for him.
A physical force with elite pass-catching skills, he’s been one of the most disappointing players of the past couple of years, but it has had nothing to do with him.
He’s been asked to be a blocker more often than not, and one of the biggest knocks on this offense and Arthur Smith was the fact that he wasn’t getting involved enough in the passing game.
Pitts even offered to give his No. 8 jersey to Kirk Cousins for free, only asking for a few targets per game in return.
Now, with a legitimate passer and a new coaching regime, the expectations are once again sky-high for the former No. 4 pick.
With him, Bijan Robinson, and Drake London leading the way, the Falcons should have the best offense in the NFC South, and maybe even one of the best in the game.
