Being compared to Josh Allen is high praise and puts a lot of pressure and expectations on a prospect.
Allen is a prototypical quarterback in today’s NFL, as he has the size, mobility, and monstrous arm that any scout would dream of being able to find in the NFL Draft.
Those comparisons are now being placed on former Tennessee quarterback Joe Milton, who went on Up & Adams with Kay Adams to discuss the comparisons, saying “He plays a great game, he’s also smart, and he’s a big human as well. All you can do is just praise him.”

Milton also added that they had the same quarterback coach throughout their draft process in Jordan Palmer, who Milton said he works with to find out more about Allen and his processes that helped lead him to where he is today as one of the game’s elite QBs.
Milton spent six years in college and finally got some extended playing time in 2023 when he threw for 20 touchdowns with just five interceptions and ran for 299 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground.
There are few prospects in this draft more polarizing than Milton, as he has all the talent in the world but not much of the production.
He had ten touchdowns and no interceptions in mop-up duty as the backup in 2022 to Hendon Hooker and he is already 24 years old.
There is so much QB talent in this draft that Milton isn’t getting a lot of attention, but whoever takes him will have an intriguing project on their hands
