This year’s NFL Draft could yield the best quarterback crop since the 1983 draft, which brought the league legends such as Jim Kelly, Dan Marino, and John Elway.
Many feel the three-best QB prospects this year are Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, and Drake Maye, but lately, J.J. McCarthy from the University of Michigan is starting to turn that terrific threesome into a fearsome foursome.
It’s one thing to be great in the NFL, but it’s another to also win, and Jordan Schultz says McCarthy has a “winning pedigree” that will serve any team well, via “The Herd.”

Some have criticized the hype surrounding McCarthy lately, saying that he didn’t throw the football much in college and that as a result, he’s not as attractive a prospect as he seems.
Last season, he threw for 2,991 yards and 22 touchdowns, numbers that are hardly impressive, but he did complete 72.3 percent of his pass attempts.
Schultz said he asked McCarthy about a game in which Michigan ran the football 32 straight times, and McCarthy responded by saying, “my DNA is winning.”
The signal-caller won two state titles in high school and one consensus high school national championship, and in college, he got Michigan a win in the College Football Playoff National Championship a few months ago.
It’s important to remember that Jim Harbaugh, his coach at Michigan, loves to run the football, which likely depressed McCarthy’s stats.
But there’s a good chance that whichever NFL team drafts him will be fairly happy with him all around.
