The Jacksonville Jaguars have their star locked in for the future.
Following a rather difficult offseason, Doug Pederson’s team finally got a big win.
As reported by Adam Schefter of ESPN, they signed two-time Pro Bowl EDGE rusher Josh Allen to a huge contract extension.
Pro Bowl LB Josh Allen reached agreement on a five-year, $150 million contract that includes $88 million guaranteed, sources tell ESPN.
Allen had a Jaguars franchise-record 17.5 sacks last season.

The former first-round pick agreed to a five-year contract extension worth $150 million, making him one of the highest-paid defensive players in the game.
He’s going to get $88 million guaranteed, and he will no longer play under the franchise tag, which was about to make him slightly more than $24 million this season.
Allen is coming off a career-best (and franchise-record) season with 17.5 sacks.
He also logged 66 tackles, one interception, and two forced fumbles, logging his second Pro Bowl selection.
He’s now up to 45 sacks over his five-year career.
The Jaguars were one of the most disappointing teams in the league last season, collapsing late in the campaign and letting their divisional lead slip right through their fingers.
Then, they lost star WR Calvin Ridley, who decided to join divisional rivals Tennessee Titans.
The Jaguars replaced him with an underrated and very productive wide receiver in Gabe Davis, who had a career-best season with the Buffalo Bills in 2023.
Doug Pederson’s team will be under heavy pressure to get back to it’s winning ways after a subpar campaign, and while a lot of that will have to do with Trevor Lawrence and whether he can take another step forward, Allen’s defensive dominance will also play a big role.
