The New York Giants have several needs to address in the upcoming edition of the NFL Draft.
They need to add more skill players to their offense, and they could be in a solid position to do that with the No. 6 pick.
However, they could also look to get better at quarterback, as there are rumors of discontent with Daniel Jones.
Nonetheless, with the Minnesota Vikings, Las Vegas Raiders, and Denver Broncos all also looking to sneak into the top five, they might be better off staying put and taking a wideout at six.
Should that be the case, then NFL Draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. believes they could look to trade up in the second round to land Bo Nix.
Talking on ESPN’s Get Up, Kiper predicted the Giants would trade up with the Carolina Panthers to get the Oregon product at 33.

He stated that Nix is a more NFL-ready quarterback because of his age and all the years he started in college, and they could afford to have him compete with Daniel Jones for a year while they still have him under contract.
Nix might not have the same upside other prospects have, but it’s not like the Giants are just one player away from contention, so they need to maximize their assets, as opposed to giving up everything to get a quarterback.
Of course, every move comes with some risk, but perhaps putting pressure on Jones to deliver is just what he needs to get his career back on track.
